Leaflet Delivery

It’s 1pm and I have just finished delivering my allocation of Brandon Reports Back leaflets.  It was really nice out there in the crisp white snow, glorious sunshine and happy people to talk to whilst they cleared their driveways and cars of the fresh snow.

Off to watch Norwich play Hartlepool this afternoon.  If they win that could mean 6 points clear at the top.

Leaflet Delivering

Must go out and deliver the last of my allocation of Brandon’s reporting back leaflets but it looks very cold out there this morning!

Hopton Youth Club

Supervised the children this evening, never heard so much noise!  It snowed hard so they kept going outside to have snowball fights.  I never did that when I was a kid!

Hopton New Village Hall – Progress Report

Visit the “Building Site” this afternoon and it never ceases to amaze me that most building development work always seems to start with working in the muddy trenches in the winter and in the summer when it is warm and sunny (yes you guessed it!) everyone is working inside!  This will be the case here and (when I was in the building trade some 50 or so years ago) nothing has changed!  Here are a couple of photos of activities this afternoon.

Great Yarmouth Purple Flag Initiative Launch Meeting

Meeting held today to launch a Purple Flag initiative which is aimed at establishing a joined-up approach and partnership between the public and private sector involved in Great Yarmouth Tourism to demonstrate that Great Yarmouth as a tourist destination is not only a safe and exciting place to visit but that we actively demonstrate that to people who visit or are thinking of visiting our wonderful tourist offer!  It is a bit like the Blue Flag scheme is to our beaches but much, much more.

Audit & Risk Committee

Just received the paperwork for next Monday’s meeting.  Only 81 pages to work through between now and then!

Leaflet Delivering

Been out  this afternoon delivering “Brandon Lewis Reports Back ” leaflets.  Have done all of Links Road & Lane, Warren Road & Kennel Loke!

Take Your Seat – Milbrook Proving Ground – The Concept Centre

Many of the party faithful attended this all day conference which was arranged to encourage and enhance the skills needed to get canvassing in the period up to the imminent General Election and beyond.  I have put a few photos of the speakers and if you pass your mouse over them you will see who they were.  It was an excellent day, well worth the 250 mile round trip!
